Pooja Hegde Shares Tough Yet Beautiful Memories

Suriya and Pooja Hegde’s romantic film Retro directed by Karthik Subbaraj, has completed one year since its release. Marking this occasion, Pooja shared her shooting memories on social media.

She posted photos and videos from the sets showing her role as Rukmini.

Pooja also spoke about the challenges faced during filming including a ligament injury, a boat catching fire, heavy rain, mud and even snakes on the island. Despite these many tough situations she said the atmosphere on set was peaceful and filled with laughter.

Pooja thanked director Karthik for trusting her without any doubt and appreciated Suriya for his support.

She said working with a good team made even hard days feel easy. She is now gearing up for her Hindi film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, releasing June 5th 2026.
